AGM 2011

Post by s_deards » 19 Jan 2011, 20:23

Hello
I read somewhere on this forum that the AGM was to be held the week of the Jazz festival, second week in August. Is there any news on a date for it?
If not, if there a plan of when a date be set? I assume its the council that will set the date rather than our management team at FLC?
I would really like to come out for it but will only be allowed a couple of days from work so am hoping it overlaps a weekend one way or another.
Thanks
Suzie

The Jazz Festival is on from the 8th of August 2011 to the 13th August 2011. The website is www.bansko-jazz.com
Perhaps you can confirm date of AGM?

Hi all - I want to book some flights to get to the AGM in august as i'm sure many others do. Dates need to be set to suit the majority ASAP to enable owners to make plans and get affordable flights.

I've just looked up flights for the week of the Jazz festival. It looks like flights will be £200 return flight. Also with rumours of it being on Wednesday 10th August may make it hard for people to get time off work. Would it not be worth considering doing it at either end of a week so the weekend can be taken advantage of. It can be very hard to get time off in school holidays due to all staff wanting to take the same time's.

The AGM will be organized by managing council. Please email them for your requests. They have to set the date and announce it.

History:
Wednesday 10th. August was first put forward after last years 2010 meeting.
Thursday 11th. has now been chosen as being closer to the weekend.
The Week of The Bansko Jazz Festival had "long been discussed as the best time to hold the AGM".
As we found from organising last years meeting (the first Owners Meeting to have been held at FLC in accordance with The Bulgarian Condominium Act.) No one date can satisfy everyone's wishes!
Some people want a weekday some a weekend!?
The Jazz Festival Week is chosen by many complexes, as a good time to hold such meetings.
Owners are encouraged to stay the whole week and enjoy the music festival, now in it's 14th. year.
The Music is NOT confined to "Traditional Jazz", there is music and singing to satisfy a wide range of tastes.

Detailed information for the 2011 festival has yet to be published,
but general information can be gathered from this website:

http://www.bansko-jazz.com/?ac=home&lang=en

More information can be gathered by searching for: "Bansko Jazz Festival 2011"

Back to The Meeting and the status of this posting:

Bulgarian Protocol has to be followed; The Official Invitations will be posted on apartment doors.
These Documents will be published in both Bulgarian and English.
This process will be completed no later than 3 days before the above advertised date.
The Protocol states that The Invitation/Notice be served together with The Proposed Agenda.
email or internet postings are NOT covered by The Protocol, so This Posting is for "information only"!
This is done to allow owners the time to organise flights or instruct proxies to attend on their behalf.
Owners are also asked to submit any items that they would like to be included in the agenda.

For more information please send an email to:

AGM 2011 Newsletter from Owners to Owners

Post by FionaH » 06 Jun 2011, 17:24

Welcome to all Owners

This is the first Newsletter for owners of Four Leaf Clover - written by fellow owners. We have sent this to you as we have your email on file and we are trying to establish an accurate owners’ contact list. Anyone receiving this who is not an owner, please can you let us know so we can unsubscribe you.

Our first issue is to establish contact and to set up a line of communication between all of the independent, private UK and Irish owners. We know there have been, and still are, many issues causing disgruntlement (to put it mildly) and this is another aim of the newsletter; to bring everyone together so we can work collectively towards sorting out a lot of the problems that have blighted many of us and eventually lead to a successful complex and ultimately see a return on our investments.

I’m not sure if you are all aware, but by Bulgarian Law there has to be an Official Managing Council setup to deal with the running of the complex. This was done by the holding an AGM, last October 2010, where a number of owners were voted into Council positions. This includes us, writing this newsletter (Donna and Fiona).

Having a Managing Council and getting in contact with all other UK and Irish owners, will set us on the road to being able to work together to make the complex a success. However, to do so you will need to take an active part in the decisions that will be made at the upcoming AGM in August 2011, by voting! The issues to be voted on will soon be published, together with the Agenda, but basically it will decide facts like: the Maintenance Company, amount to be paid for maintenance, the contract we have with the maintenance company etc. These are very important issues that will affect us all and if not enough of us individual owners attend and/or vote by proxy, then the major shareholders have the majority voting power and will chose how everything is run, which may not be in the best interest of us private owners. In order to be a part of these decisions we urge you to attend the AGM, which is being held on the 11th August 2011, during the week of the Bansko Jazz Festival. So, if you haven’t booked your flights yet, it may be advisable to do so soon! If you are in the position where your apartment/s are still unfurnished and cannot stay in them, or prefer to stay in a hotel in any case, the AGM is being held in the Bansko Hotel and Spa, across the road from the FLC. Please contact them directly to book your room. http://www.bulgariaski.com/bansko/bansk ... ys_en.html

We cannot stress enough the importance of attending the AGM!! If you want to have a say and vote on key issues regarding the complex then please help. Every single vote counts now! However if you are definitely unable to attend the AGM please give your vote to be carried by someone else who is attending, by Proxy. We will let you know how to do this in due course. Every owner attending may carry 2 proxy votes, but we need enough attendees to carry votes for those unable to come.

We look forward to meeting as many people as possible in August. We will be in touch again soon with more news, how to vote by proxy, the AGM agenda and other news as we get it. Please feel free to contact us.

Best wishes
Fiona and Donna
